Summary/Objective

The employee will perform bookkeeping functions in Quick Books, create/maintain Excel spreadsheets to meet internal and external accounting and production needs, create correspondence in Word, and maintain files while giving general assistance to office staff.

The ideal candidates should be able to assist management and all visitors by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, e-mail, and in person while also being accurate and organized. They should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. They must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, candidates should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  2. Positive outgoing personality with confidence and flexibility.
  3. Computer skills including Microsoft office and QuickBooks accounting (excel proficiency a plus).
  4. Bookkeeping or accounting experience or education preferred.

Competencies and Requirements

  1. Written & Verbal Communication Skills.
  2. Self-Motivated with an eye to detail, accuracy, and timeliness of completion of tasks and goals.
  3. Manage Multiple Priorities.
  4. Experience with Quickbooks accounting software.
  5. Prior administrative, clerical, and receptionist experience.
  6. Proficient Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  7. Professional attitude and appearance.
  8. Experience with office equipment (fax, copier, printers, etc.)

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability, and 401K. Medical and vision insurance for the employee is provided at no cost. Days and hours of work typically are Monday through Friday, depending on availability. Occasional overtime may be required.

Salary

Competitive pay with raises as proficiency is demonstrated. Benefits include health, vision, and teledoc coverages for employee at no charge. Additional benefits are provided at group rates: dental, life, short term, and long term disability. 401k match up to 4%.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Working towards An Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Team Driver: Full and Part-time

Long Haul Truck Driver Class A

Blue Ridge Aquaculture subsidiary, Rolling River Long Haul, is looking for dependable driver teams or drivers to be matched with another driver for dedicated NE routes. Driving Married couples or current teams are encouraged to apply. We have both full & part-time opportunities. Home every other night. CDL (Class A) and 2 years of experience required. Must be at least 21 years of age with a good driving record. Must be physically able to climb on tanker to facilitate securing and unloading of product. Must have a valid US Passport or able to obtain one within 90 days.

Tank Room Operator

Blue Ridge Aquaculture, a local company and industry leader specializing in indoor Tilapia farming, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Tank room Operator. The Tank room Operator will be responsible for regulating water quality at the indoor fish farm by washing filters, feeding fish, adding bicarb to regulate pH two times per shift, harvesting fish, cleaning tanks and work area, removing any mortalities from the tanks, and recording all data properly into iPad. Good math skills and basic computer knowledge preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits. Hours are 8pm - 8 am, 3-4 days a week.
